After these two weeks, I feel like I am more hands on with technology than ever. Before these two weeks, I feel like the class has been learning how technology in the classroom actually works (i.e. definitions/examples), now that we know, we are getting hands on with the technology we have been practicing on and apply real concepts to them. For example, the Flipped Classroom Part II activity was interesting because I felt as though I was creating the video for an actual classroom. I did this activity on the AXES method for better writing and I never imagined myself teachers others (or trying to) so early on. This is so important because I am already getting prepared for my future. I am using more platforms as this course progresses and I truly say I feel extremely comfortable teaching others what I have learned.
My First Blog Post – Reflection
Over these past two weeks, I have learned how to use technology more. For example, I have never used WordPress or Live Binders before this course, but I have found myself having an easier time navigating through. I have also learned about flipping the classroom in detail while participating hands-on to improve my knowledge. Though I’ve used screen casting and pages to create power points before, practice makes perfect and there are always new things to learn. I enjoyed being hands-on in this course because participating in the lessons helps me understand the content better. I also have fun because I feel like an instructor preparing a lesson.
Week 10 Blog Reflection
During these past two weeks, I’m happy to say I am getting a lot more comfortable with screen casting. I feel like I know how to interact more with technology more than I ever have. For example, creating the QR code for week 9 was so helpful and simple to do. I have created all kinds of google forms for my classes, but I have never gone the extra mile to create a QR code to make it more simple for students. I have seen so many of my professors so it and I thought it was pretty cool. I find working with Live Binders is super simple and I feel more confident to use and teach technology to my future students. I know there is still a ton to learn, but I am in a great place right now.
